r = 28/2 = 14cm

Area of shaded region = Area of quadrant OBC - Area of ∆OBC

Area of shaded region =  \frac {πr^2}{4} -  \frac {r^2}{2}

Area of shaded region =  \frac {22 * 14^2}{7 * 4} -  \frac {14^2}{2}

Area of shaded region =  \frac {22 * 196}{28} -  \frac {196}{2}

Area of shaded region = 22*7 - 98

Area of shaded region = 154 - 98

Area of shaded region = 56cm^2
