Find Total Area:-

Length = 18 + 8 = 26

Breadth = 16 + 10 = 26

=> Total Area of square:- 26 * 26 = 676 cm^2

=>  Area of triangle = 1/2 base * height

=> 1st triangle = 1/2 * 8 * 16 = 64 cm^2

=> 2nd Triangle = 1/2 * 10 * 18 = 90 cm^2

=> Area total = 90 + 64 = 154 cm^2

Shaded region = 676 - 154 = 522 cm^2 (Answer)
