Given that,

ABC is a triangle

Where

AB=BC=CA=52 unit

Area of triangle ABC =  \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}  * a^{2}

=  \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}  * 52^{2}

= (√3*52*13) unit square.

=√3*676

Now,

BDA is right angle triangle,

Area of BDA =  \frac{1}{2} BD*AD \\ \\  = \frac{1}{2} 16*12 \\ \\ =96 square unit

Area of shaded region = Area of ABC - Area of BDA

= √3*676 - 96

= 1170.866 - 96

= 1074.866 square unit
