area of shaded region = 384 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Right angle triangle with sides 16 & 12 cm

hypotenuse = √16² + 12²

= √256 + 144

= √400

= 20 cm

area of right angles triangle = (1/2) * 16 * 12

= 96 cm²

triangle with sides 48 cm , 52 cm , 20 cm

s = (48 + 52 + 20)/2 = 60

Area = √60(60 - 48)(60 - 52)(60 - 20)

= √60 * 12 * 8 * 40

= √6 * 10  * 6 * 2 * 2 * 4 * 10 * 4

= 6 * 10 * 2 * 4

= 480 cm²

area of shaded region = 480 - 96

= 384 cm²
