SQUARE

  • It is a four-sided closed figure or quadrilateral.
  • It is such type of quadrilateral whose all sides are equal and all angles are right angles.
  • It's diagonals bisects each other perpendicularly.
  • The diagonal of square divides it into two congruent triangles.

ANSWER::

By applying the properties above we will find out the area of the given square.

The perimeter of square is 4m. Perimeter is nothing but the sum of all sides of a quadrilateral and square has four equal sides then each side must be the quotient which we will get by dividing 4m by 4.

So, 4m/4 = 1m.

It means that the measure of each side is 1m.

Now, we have to find the area.

Area of square = Product of its any two sides as all sides are equal.

Area = 1m × 1m

= 1 square meter.

Therefore,

Your answer is 1 sq. meter
