Find the area of the square that can be inscribed in a circle of radius 7cm

Hello , here is the answer to your question:

given that the radius of the circle is 7 cm

then the diagonal of the square = diameter

                                                     = 14 cm

using pythogoras theorem ,

(14)² = a²+a²

196 = 2a²

a²= 196 / 2

a²= 98 cm ²

area of the square = a²

                               = 98 cm ²

Square is inscribed in circle.

Hence it's diagonal is diameter of circle.

So, diagonal of square = 14cm

So it's side = 7 *root 2

Area of square = Side^2

= 98
