Let the three vertices be...

A (4,5); B (0,7) and C (-1,1)

Here,

x1=4 y1=5

x2=0 y2=7

x3=-1 y3=1

Area of Triangle

= 1/2 [ x1(y2-y3) + x2(y3-y1) + x3(y1-y2)]

= 1/2 [ 4(7-1) + 0(1-5) + (-1)(5-7)]

= 1/2 [ (4×6) + (0×(-4)) + ((-1)×(-2))

= 1/2 [ 24 + 0 + 2 ]

= 1/2 ×26

= 26/2

= 13

Therefore, Area of Triangle = 13
