Answer:

We know,

Area of trapezium= 21

×Sum of parallel sides×Distance between them.

Area of trapezium = 2h

(a+b), where a and b are base and h is height.

Here, a=24 cm, b=20 cm and h=15 cm

Therefore, Area= 2/15

(24+20)=330cm²

Given : Parallel sides of a trapezium are 24cm and 20cm and distance between them is 15cm.

To Find : Area of the trapezium.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀_____________________

Here

 \:  \:

  • Parallel sides of the trapezium = 24cm and 20cm
  • Distance between the parallel sides = 15cm

 \:  \:

As we know that

 \:

\underline{\boxed{\sf\purple{\bigstar \: area \: of \: a \: trapezium  =  \frac{1}{2} \times sum \: of \: parallel \: sides \:  \times distance }}}

 \:

Put the values in the formula -

 \:  \:

\tt:\implies \: area \: of \: the \: trapezium =  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times (24 + 20) \times 15 \\  \\  \\ \tt:\implies \: area \: of \: the \: trapezium \:  =  \frac{1}{\cancel{2}}  \times \cancel{44}\times 15 \\  \\  \\ \tt:\implies \: area \: of \: the \: trapezium \:  = 22 \times 15 \\  \\  \\ \tt:\implies \: area \: of \: the \: trapezium \:  = \underline{\boxed{\tt\purple{330 {cm}^{2} }}}\bigstar \\  \\   \\ \\ \sf\therefore{\underline{Hence, \: the \: area \: of \: the \: trapezium \: is \: \bold{330 {cm}.}^{2} }}
