Step-by-step explanation:

Let the common ration be x,

Then the two parallel sides are 3x, 2x

Distance between them = 10 cm

Area of trapezium = 325 cm²

Area of trapezium = 1/2 (p₁ + p₂) h

325 = 1/2 (3x + 2x) 10

⇒ 325 = 5x × 5

⇒ 325 = 25x

⇒ x = 325/25

Therefore, 3x = 3 × 13 = 39 and 2x = 2 × 13 = 26

Therefore, the length of parallel sides area are 26 cm and 39 cm.

★ Find the area of trapezium with parallel sides 5m and 2m and perpendicular distance between them is 4m .

{\huge{\underline{\underline{\frak{Solution\checkmark}}}}}

★ Given :

  • Parallel sides of trapezium = 5m and 2m
  • Perpendicular distance between sides = 4m

★ To Find :

  • The area of trapezium = ?

★ Solution :

Using the Formula -

 \star \boxed{ \rm \: area \: of \: trapezium =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times height}

 \mapsto \rm \: area_{trapezium} =  \frac{1}{ \cancel2}  \times (2m + 5m) \times  \cancel4m

 \mapsto \rm \: area _{trapezium} = 7m \times 2m

 \mapsto  \boxed{\rm \: area_{trapezium} = 14 {m}^{2} }

The area of this trapezium would be 14m² .

★ Important Points :

  • A trapezium is a Quadrilateral .
  • The unit of area is always in square (unit²) .
  • Area of trapezium =
  •  \rm \frac{1}{2}  \times (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times height
  • Perimeter of trapezium = Sum of all sides .
