Find the area of triangle of sides 13 cm, 14 cm and 15 cm.

Given:

a= 13 cm, b= 14 cm , c= 15cm


By heron's formula,

we have to take the semiperimeter(s)= (a+b+c)/2


s= (13+14+15)/2

s= 42/2= 21 cm                                                              

s= 21 cm



Area of ∆ = √ s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

= √21(21-13)(21-14)(21-15)

 = √21(8)(7)(6)

 = √ (3x7)(2x2x2)(7)(3x2)

 =√(3×3)×(7×7)×(2×2×2×2)

Area of ∆  = 3x2x2x7


Hence, Area of ∆ = 84 cm²

Area of triangle is 1/2×base×height.
U can solve it by this method.
