Given:

↬ Base of Triangle= 24cm

↬ Altitude or height of Triangle= 1.5dm

To Find:

Area of given triangle

Solution:

We know that,

\bf{Area\:of\:Triangle=\dfrac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height}

⟼ 1dm = 10cm

Now,

Height of Triangle= 1.5dm= 1.5×10cm= 15cm

So,

\sf{Area\:of\:Triangle=\dfrac{1}{\cancel{2}}\times\cancel{24}\times15}

\sf{Area\:of\:Triangle=12\times15}

\sf\pink{Area\:of\:Triangle=180\:cm^{2} }

Hence, the area of given triangle is 180 cm².

Answer:

Hence, area of triangle will be 180 Sq. cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In context to question asked,

We have to determine the area of triangle.

As per data given in the question,

We have,

Base of triangle = 24 cm

Height of triangle = 1.5 dm

As here, height is in decimeter. so we will convert it into cm

As we know that,

10 cm = 1 dm

So, 1.5 cm = 15 cm

As we know that,

Triangle is a three sided figure,

Sum of all angles of the triangle is 180 degree.

The area of triangle can be determined by using formula Area = \frac{1}{2} \times base \times Height

So, for determining the area of triangle we will put the value of base and height given in the question in above formula,

Thus we will get it as,

Area =\frac{1}{2} \times 24 \times 15\\=>Area = 12 \times 15\\=>Area =180 \:cm^2
