Area of a triangle

A(3.0) B(4,5) C(-1,-4)

|ar(tri.ABC)| = 3(4+4) + 4(-4-0) + (-1)(0-5)

= 3× 8 -16 +5 = 24-16+5 = 23

Therefore area of triangle ABC = 13 sq. units
