Given,
The coordinates of the three vertices of the triangle are = A(-3,0) , B(5,0) and C(0,4)
To find,
The area of the triangle ABC
Solution,
We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.
The vertices of the traingle are -
A = (-3,0) = X1,Y1
B = (5,0) = X2,Y2
C = (0,4) = X3,Y3
Area of ∆ABC = ½ × [X1(Y2-Y3) + X2(Y3-Y1) + X3(Y1-Y2)]
= ½ × [-3(0-4) + 5 (4-0) + 0 (0-0)] (By putting values)
= ½ × (12+20+0)
= ½ × 32
= 16 sq. units
Hence, the area of ∆ABC is 16 sq. units.
