Given :- Find the average of all odd numbers between 62 and 72.

Answer :-

we know that,

  • Average = Sum of all observations / Total number of observations .
  • Odd number = which doesnt divide by 2

so,

sum of all odd numbers between 62 and 72 = 63 + 65 + 67 + 69 + 71 = 335

and,

→ Total numbers are = 5 .

then,

→ Required average = 335/5 = 67 (Ans.) (Option D) .

[ Note :- Average of AP numbers is middle number , so , average of 63, 65, 67, 69 , 71 is middle number that is 67 . ]

GIVEN:- To find the average of all odd numbers between 62 and 72.

SOLUTION:- Average = sum of total number / total number of values in set

So, odd numbers between 62 to 72 is,

63, 65, 67, 69, 71

Average = (63+65+67+69+71) / (5)

= 335 / 5

= 67.

Therefore, option D) 67 is correct.
