Hi,

We know that ,

Sum of first ' n ' natural numbers = n(n+1)/2 ---( 1 )

Average = sum of the observations / number of observations

Average of first n natural numbers = [n(n+1)/2]/n

= ( n + 1 ) / 2 --( 2 )

Here , according to the problem ,

n = 91 ,

Put n = 91 in equation ( 2 ),

Average of first 91 natural numbers = ( 91 + 1 ) / 2

= 92 / 2

= 46

I hope this helps you.
