1 dm=10 cm
therefore, 1dm^2=100cm^2
so,
0.48*100cm^2
=48cm^2
therefore,
1/2×8×base=48
=>base=12 cm!!!
hope this helps

Area of triangle = 0.48 dm sq.

(1dm=10cm)
0.48dm sq. =10cm sq.

Area=10cm sq.
Altitude =8cm
Area of triangle =1/2*b*h
4.8cm=1/2*b*8
b= 48/4
b=12cm
