HEY FREIND..

We know that area of triangle=1/2×base×height

hence,
220=1/2×11×base
220=11/2×base
440=11b
b=440/11
b=40

hence,the base is 40 cm..

\textbf {Question} :

Find the base of a triangle whose area is 220 sq. cms and height is 11 cm.

 \textbf {Answer} :

Let the base of the triangle be x cm.

We know that,

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base of the triangle × height of the triangle

220 = 1/2 × 11 × x

x = 220 × 2/11

x = 20 × 2

x = 40 cm

Thus, we get the base of the triangle as 40 cm.
