length=14cm
perimeter=40cm
therefore
perimeter=2(l+b)
40=2(14+b)
40/2=14+b
20=14+b
20-14=b
6=b

therefore breadth =6cm

Hey \: there \: your \: answer \\ \\ Let \: the \: breadth \: be \: x \: cm \\ Lenght = 14 \: cm \\ Perimeter = 40 \: cm \\ \\ (aq) \\ \: \: \: \:=> 2(l + b) = 40 \\ \: \: \: \:=> 2(14 + x) = 40 \\ \: \: \: \: =>28 + 2x = 40 \\ \: \: \: \: =>2x = 40 - 28 \\ \: \: \: \:=> x = \frac{12}{2} \\ \: \: \: \:\:\:\:\: x = 6 \\ \\ Hence,\\ \: \: \: \:\:\:\: Breadht \: of \: rectangle \: = 6 \: cm
