given :-

length of the rectangle = 4m

breadth of the rectangle = ?

we know the formula for the perimeter of a rectangle, that is 2(l + b)

Therefore 2(l + b) = 14m

➡ 2( 4 + b ) = 14m

➡ 8 + 2b = 14m

➡ 2b = 14 - 8

➡ 2b = 6m

➡ b = 6/2

➡ b = 3m

ᴠᴇʀɪғɪᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ :-

= 2( l + b )

= 2 ( 4 + 3 )

= 2 × 7

= 14m

hence, the breadth of the rectangle is 3m.

let b = x
2( l+b) = 14
2( 4+x ) = 14
8 + 2x = 14
2x = 14 -8
2x = 6
x = 6/ 2
x = 3m
