Given....

A rectangular cistern means a cuboid.

L = 12.2m

B = 6m

H = 5.8m

We know ,

Capacity means volumne and

To find vol of cuboied = L X B X H

THEREFORE,

Capacity = L X B X H

= 11.2 X 6 X 5.8

= 389.76 m cube.

Now ,

Area of sheet required......

Area = 2(LB + BH + HL)

Area = 2 (12.2 x 6 + 6 x 5.8 + 5.8 x 12.2)

= 2( 73.2 + 34.8 + 70.76)

= 2 x 178.76

= 357.52 cm square.
