d = 10 then r = d / 2

Therefore , r = 10/2

r = 5

Circumference of circle = 2πr

= 2 × 3.14 × 5

= 10 × 3.14

= 31.4 units

GivEn:

  • Diameter of the circle is 10cm.

To find:

  • Circumference of the circle?

Solution:

☯ Let's consider radius be r.

According to the question:

Formula used,

  • Radius = Diameter/2

Here,

  • Diameter = 10cm

Therefore,

⠀⇒ 10/2

5cm

∴ Hence, Radius of the circle is 5cm.

Now, Finding Circumference of the circle,

Circumference = 2πr

⇒ 2 × 22/7 × 5

⇒ 44/7 × 5

⇒ 44 × 5/7

⇒ 220/7

31.4cm

∴ Hence, Circumference of the circle is 31.4cm.

More to know:

  • Area of Circle = πr²

  • Area of sector = θ/360 × πr²

  • Length of an arc = θ/360 × 2πr
