Given:

p(x)=(3x-4)(x^2+5x-1)

To find:

Coefficient of x^3

Solution:

We have, p(x)=(3x-4)(x^2+5x-1)

=> p(x) = 3x^3 + 15x^2 -3x -4x^2 - 20x + 4

=> p(x) = 3x^3 + 11x^2 -23x +4

We know that, a coefficient is an integer that is written along with a variable or it is multiplied by the variable.

Hence, the coefficient of x^3 is 3.
