d=a² - a¹

= 3-a/3a - 1/a

= 3-a -3 /3a

= -a / 3a

= -1/3

common difference (d) = a2-a1

a1=1/a

a2=3-2a/3a

so.

d=a2-a1

=3-2a/3a -1/a

=3-2a-3/3a

=-2a/3a

d = -2/3

hence the common difference is -2/3
