Step-by-step explanation:

I can't find if the second no. has

(4a)^2b or only a has the power ..

so,

if whole power

8a= 2³×a

(4a)^2b= {(4a)²}^b

= (2⁴)^b(a²)^b

=(2³)^b(2)^b(a)^b(a)^b

=2³×a{(2³)^(b-1)(2)^b(a)^(b-1)(a)^b}

therefore common factors= 2³a

if only a has power,

8a=2³a=2²a×2

4a^2b= 2²(a²)b

=2²(a)^b(a)^b

=2²a×(a)^b(a)^b-1

therefore common factors=2²a

see whichever is correct...

hope it helps
