A(4,-1)=x:y
B(-2,-3)=x1:y1
let the points p and q be the points of trisection
AP =PQ =QB
for p:
m:n=1:2
x=mx1+nx/m+n
=1×(-2)+2×4/1+2
=-2+8/3
=6/3
=2
y=1×(-3)+2×(-1)/1+2
=-3-2/3
=-5/3
co-ordinates of p(6/3,-5/3)
for Q
m:n=2:1
by doing like above u get the q coordinates
B(-2,-3)=x1:y1
