Breadth (B) = 80 m

To Find :

The cost of fencing a rectangular park

Solution :

Length of the rectangular park    = 120 m

Breadth of the rectangular park   = 80 m

Perimeter of the rectangular park = 2 × (length + breadth)

                                                         = 2 × (120 + 80)

                                                         = 2×200

                                                         = 400 m

So, the required fencing for a rectangular park is 400 m

Since, the cost of fencing park per meter = ₹ 2 per metre

∴ The cost of fencing the rectangular park of perimeter 400 m = 2×400        

                                                                                                        = ₹ 800

Hence, the cost of fencing the rectangular park is Rs. 800.
