Given thαt,

  • Length αnd breαdth of the rectαngulαr pαrk αre 250 m αnd 175 m.
  • Cost of fencing is 12 per metre.

◾️We hαve to find the cost of fencing the rectαngulαr pαrk.

____________

To do so,

\large\star{\boxed{\sf{\purple{ Perimeter_{(rectangle)} = 2(length + breadth)}}}}

  • Substitute the vαlues αnd simplify.

\longrightarrow{\sf{ 2(250m+175m)}}

\longrightarrow{\sf{ 2(425m)}}

\large\implies{\boxed{\sf{\purple{ 850m}}}}

Cost of fencing α rectαngulαr pαrk = \displaystyle{\sf{ 850m \times 12 }}

\large\implies{\boxed{\sf{\purple{Rs. 10,200}}}}

Hence, the cost of fencing α rectαngulαr pαrk is Rs. 10,200.

And we αre done! :D

Question :-

→ Find the cost of fencing a rectangular park of length 250 m and breadth 175 m at  the rate of Rs. 12 per metre.

Given :-

Length of rectangular park = 250 m

Breadth of rectangular park = 175 m

Cost of fencing per m = Rs. 12

To Find :-

→ Cost of fencing this rectangular park

Solution :-

→ Firstly we need to find the perimeter .

→ As we know that

{\large{\rm{\underline{Perimeter\;of\;a\;rectangle\;=\; 2(length+breadth)}}}}}

\sf => 2 ( 250m + 175m)\\\\=> 2 \times 425m\\\\=> 850 m

→ Now , we need to find the cost of fencing :

\sf Cost\;of\;fencing\;1\;m\;=\; Rs. 12 \\\\Cost\;of\;fencing\;850\;m\;=\; Rs. (850\times12)\\\\=> Rs. 10,200

∴ Cost of fencing this field is Rs. 10200
