Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Diameter of the circular table d = 1.5m.

Then the radius of the circular table r = d/2

                                                              = 1.5/2

                                                              = 0.75m.

We know that Circumference of the circular table = 2pir

                                                                                   = 2 * 22/7 * 0.75

                                                                                   = 33/7

                                                                                   = 4.71m.

Therefore the length of lace required = 4.71m.

Given that cost of 1m lace = 15 rupees.

Then the cost of 4.71 m lace = 4.71 * 15

                                               = 70.65 rupees.

Therefore the cost = 70.65 rupees.

Hope this helps!

Question :-

Find the cost of stitching lace on a circular table cover if the diameter of the cover is 14 cm. The cost of lace is Rs 5 per meter ?

Given :-

Diameter of the circular table cover is 14 cm.

Cost of stitching the lace is 5 Rs/m.

To Find : -

Calculate the cost of stitching lace on circular table cover ?

Solution :-

\rm{radius \: of \: the \: table \: cover \: = \: \dfrac{diameter}{2} \: = \: \dfrac{14}{2} \: = \: 7 \: cm \: = \: \dfrac{7}{100} \: m}

and

as we know -

Distance covered in one round of circular part

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{\blue{2 \pi r}}

\: \: \: \: \rm{2\times \dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}} \times \dfrac{\cancel{7}}{100}}

\: \: \: \: \rm{2\times 22\times \dfrac{1}{100}}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{\dfrac{44}{100} \: \: m}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{0.44 \: \: m}

Now -

Cost of 1 m stitching the lace is 5 Rs.

So -

Cost of 0.44 m stitching the lace

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{0.44\times 5}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{0.22\times 2\times 5}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{0.22\times 10}

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \rm{\boxed{\blue{2.2 \: Rs}}}
