HEY THERE!!

Question:

Find the cost of watering a trapezium
field whose parllel sides are 10 cm and 25 cm respactively, the perpandicular distance between them is 15 cm and the rate watering is rupee 4/m².

Method of Solution:

Given: Parallel sides of trapezium are 10cm and 25 cm and perpendicular distance between the parallel sides is 15 cm.

So, Area of trapezium field =1/2(sum of parallel sides) × (perpendicular distance between them)

Area of Trapezium = 1/2(25+10)×(10)

•°• Area of Trapezium =525/2

Now, According to the Question's Statement!

[the rate watering is rupee 4 per m²]

Required Cost =525/2×4

Hence, Required Cost is Rs 1025.

Answer :-

Rs 1050

Step-by-step explanation :

Given :-

Parallel sides of trapezium are 10 cm and 25cm

Perpendicular distance between parallel lines is 15cm

We know that,

Area of trapezium = 1/2 (sum of || sides) × (perpendicular distance)

➡️ 1/2 (25 +10)×(15)

➡️ 1/2 (35)×(15)

➡️ 262.5

Rate of watering :- ₹ 4 m^2

➡️ 262.5 ×4

➡️ 1050

Therefore,

The cost of watering is ₹1050.
