Given: l-6m;b-4.8m;h-4.2m

Solution:

Area of the room that has to be whitewashed=the total surface area of the room(TSA).

TSA of rectangle=2(lb+bh+hl)

TSA=2(6×4.8+4.8×4.2+4.2×6)

=2(28.8+30.16+25.2)

=2(84.16)

=168.32m^2(TSA of room)

Cost of whitewashing=₹25/m^2

So,cost of whitewashing the room=TSA of the room ×₹25/m^2

=>168.32×25=₹4208

Therefore,the cost of whitewashing the room is ₹4208
