Given

We have given circumference of a Cyclinder is 44cm and height is 14cm.

To Find

We have to find the curved surface area of Cyclinder.

Since , we don't have given the radius of Cyclinder so, we have to find.

We'll find by using the circumference of circle formula :

Circumference of Circle=2πr

Given circumference is 44

\sf\implies2\pi \: r = 44

\sf\implies2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}  \times r = 44

\sf\implies \dfrac{44}{7}  \times r = 44

\sf\implies \: r = 44 \times  \dfrac{7}{44}

\sf\implies \: radius = 7

\sf \:  \therefore \: radius \: is \:\red{ 7cm}

Curved surface area of Cyclinder= 2πrh

\sf\implies2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 14

\sf\implies44 \times 14= \green{616} {cm}^{2}

\sf \:  \therefore

Curved Surface area of Cyclinder is 616cm²

Solution :

Here in the question we are given that Circumference of cylinder is 44cm. So, Circumference is 2πr. Firstly by Putting the values in the Circumference we will find the Radius. Then by using formula Curved Surface area of cylinder is 2πrh we will the Required Curved Surface area of cylinder.

Circumference = 44cm

➛ 2πr = 44cm

➛ 2 × 22/7 × r = 44

➛ 44/7 × r = 44

➛ Radius = 7cm

Curved Surface area = 2πrh

➛ 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 14

➛ 44 × 14

➛ 616cm²

CSA of cylinder is 616cm²
