It's the same as saying (3x + 4) * (3x + 4) * (3x + 4)

First multiply the first two.

(9x^2(this means to the second) + 12x + 12x + 16) * (3x + 4)

Simplify:

(9x^2 + 24x + 16) * (3x + 4)

Now multiply the rest out:

27x^3 + 72x^2 + 48x + 36x^2 + 96x + 64

And simplify:

27x^3 + 108x^2 + 144x + 64

Phew!  There's your answer.  Enjoy!!
