Diameter = 28cm

Radius = D/2 = 28/2 = 14cm

Height = 15cm

Curved Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 15

= 2 × 22 × 2 × 15

= 1320 cm²

Given:

Diameter of the base of the circular cylinder = 28 cm

Height of the circular cylinder = 15 cm

To find:

The curved surface area of the cylinder.

Solution:

If the diameter of the cylinder is 28 cm, then its radius will be:

Radius = Diameter/2 = 28/2 = 14cm

The formula for curved surface area of a cylinder = 2π*r*h

Putting the values we get:

= 2 × 22/7 × 14 × 15

On simplifying we get:

= 2 × 22 × 2 × 15

= 1320 cm²

Therefore the curved surface area of the cylinder is 1320 cm².
