diameter =d =12 cm
radius =r = d/2 = 12/2= 6cm
slant height =l = ?
l^2 = h^2 + r^2
= 8^2+6^2
= 64+36
=100
therefore
l= 10cm
curved surface area of a cone = pi*r*l
= 22/7 * 6*10
= 1320/7
=188.57 cm^2
