To find or determine the diagonal of a square, we have to multiply the length or side of one side of the square by square root of 2.

So,

Diagonal of square whose side is 10 cm will be ----

d = 10 \times  \sqrt{2}

d = 10 \sqrt{2}

We know that the value of root 2 is 1.414

d = 10 \times 1.414

d = 14.14 \: cm

Hence,

Hence,The diagonal of the square having side 10 cm is 14.14 cm
