SOLUTION :

The area of a circle = 13.86  m sq.          (given)

To be found :-

The diameter of the circle

Before finding the diameter of circle, first we have to find the radius of circle

By the area formula of circle = $\bf{ \pi r^{2} }$  unit sq.

[ ∴ In which r is the radius of the circle ]

⇒  $\bf{ \pi r^{2} }$ = $\bf{13.86}$

⇒ $\frac{ \bf{22} }{ \bf{7} } \times \bf{{r}^{2}}= 13.86$

⇒ $\bf{r}^{2} = 13.86 \: \times \: \frac{ \bf{7} }{ \bf{22} }$

⇒ $\bf{r}^{2} = 4.41$

⇒ $\bf{r} = \sqrt{4.41}$

⇒ $\bf{r} = 2.1$

∴ The radius of the circle = 2.1 m

Now,

Diameter of the circle = 2r    [ ∴  In which r is the radius of the circle ]

                                    = 2 × 2.1

                                    = 4.2

Hence,

Diameter of the circle is 4.2 m
