Diameter is 14cm.
4πr^2=616

4*22/7*r^2=616
r^2= 616*7/22*4
We will get r^2 = 49 cm
Therefore r=7 cm
therefore d=14cm

You can take π as 3.14 if specified... If not specified then you should take 22/7

d=?
surface area= 616cm*2
surface area = 4pie r*2
616= 4×3.14×r*2
616=12.56×r*2
616/12.56=r*2
49.044=r*2
r= 7.003
let us take first 2 decimal places
so; r= 7.00 or 7
2r= diameter
2×7= diameter or 2×7.003=diameter
d=14or 14.003cm

Mann02: In the question its not specified so your anwer 7.003 is wrong
Mann02: correct answer is 7cm
Mann02: if not specified you should take π as 22/7
krithidaa: no 22/7 is equal to 3.14
krithidaa: I have also given 7 as the answer
krithidaa: if u take 22/7 also u will get in decimals only
krithidaa: The another person who has given the another answer , he also got in decimals only but he has taken in rounded form.
krithidaa: so anyway Happy Diwali
Mann02: Happy Diwali
Mann02: But still our teacher has told us that if the value is specified then only we can use 3.14
