Find the difference between the place value of 8 in the number 98382

The place value of any digit is its multiplier i.e ones tens hundred etc. whereas the face value is actual value of the digit .

Here we have 8 at two places one at tens place and other at thousand place . So there place is 80 and 8000 respectively . Now we can easily have our solution .

The difference between the place value of '8' = 8000 - 80

The difference between the place value of '8' = 7920 (Ans.)
