SOLUTION -

Study the addition in one's column. Since a is a digit

➾ A can takes values 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9

➾ 2 + A can take values 2 + 0 , 2 + 1 , 2 + 1 , 2 + 3 , 2 + 4 ... 2 + 9

➾ 2 + A can take values 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

➾ 2 + A > 0

➾ 2 + A is a two - digit no. whose unit digit is 0

➾ 2 + A = 10

➾ A = 10 - 2

➾ A = 8

Now, considering tens column we have

6 + 5 + 1 ( carried over from the previous column ) = 12

➾ B = 2 and 1 is carried over

Similarly in the hundreds column , we have

A + 2 + 1 ( carried over from the previous column )

= 8 + 2 + 1 = 11

➾ C = 1 and 1 is carried over

So, puzzle can be solved as shown below.
