Solution :

Given Relation :

p = \frac{b-x^2}{a*t}

To Find dimension of  :

a * b

Knowing the dimensions of rest physical quantities :

  • p = Momentum which is m * v

⇒ Kg * m/s

⇒ M * L/T

⇒ MLT-1

  • x = length which is represented by L
  • T is time

Substituting the Value :

MLT^-1 = b° - L^2/a° *T

(i) b° = L^2

[b°] = [L^2]

(ii) [MLT^-1] = [L^2/a° *T]

[a] = M^-1L^3T^-1

Hence , Our Required answer is a * b which is M^-1L^5T^-1
