Eq. Us 2 x^2-4x+3=0

a=2,b=-4 and c=3

=>D=b^2-4ac=16-24=-8

D<0 So, roots are imaginary or not real

Hope it helps

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac \\  {4}^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times 3 \\  = 16 - 24 \\  =  - 8
discriminant is negative hence roots are imaginary
