GIVEN :

Points = A(8, -2) and B(3, -6)

Distance Formula :

 =  \sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2} +  {(y2 - y1)}^{2}  }

x1 = 8 x2 = 3 y1 = -2 y2 = -6

 =  \sqrt{ {(3 - 8)}^{2}  +  {( - 6 + 2)}^{2} }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {( - 5)}^{2} +  {( - 4)}^{2}  }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {5}^{2}  +  {4}^{2} }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {9}^{2} }  \\  \\  = 9

Therefore, the distance is 9.
