Yes I agree with this statement because a tree takes many year to grow and it is a long process but killing trees is a longer process because it can again grow into a mature tree.

According to this poem a simple cut cannot destroy the tree because it is rooted to the soil. When tree are cut it is like a wounded man who bleeds and after healing new leaves and branches start growing and become a mature tree again. So killing tree is difficult and one has to uproot a tree to destroy it.
