Origin is (0,0) and pt is (3,-4)
so applying distance formula.......

\sqrt{(x2 - x1) { } ^{2} + )y2 - y1) {}^{2} }
\sqrt{(3 - 0 {})^{2} + ( 4 - 0) {}^{2} }
\sqrt{9 + 16}
\sqrt{25}
= ±5 the answer is 5 units

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

O(0,0) A(3,4)

Distance from origin to point (3,4) =(x^2+y^2)^1÷2

x=3 , y=4

D= (3^2+4^2)^1÷2

=(9+16)^1÷2

= (25)^1÷2

= 5

Therefore distance between origin to the point (3,4)=5 units
