Answer:We know that the origin has the points O(0, 0),

And P(x, y),

So by using the distance formula, we get

PO=√(x2-x1) ^2 +(y2-y1) ^2

PO=√(x-o) ^2+(y-0) ^2

PO=√x^2+y^2

So the distance between the point P and O is √x^2+y^2
