find the distance of a point P(x,y) from the origin

 \sqrt{ {x}^{2} +  {y}^{2}  }

putul6: will the distance be zero because at origin the co-ordinates are (0,0) ?
Ram1993: it is asked the distance of the point FROM origin...it is not asked the distance AT origin...
Ram1993: so put the distance formula as...√{(x-0)^2 + (y-0)^2}
