Area = Base x perpendicular height

Here Base could be one of the two adjacent sides of parallelogram. Perpendicular height is height of perpendicular from vertex to given base.

So, Area = SR x QM = PS x QN

Area = 12 x 6 = 72cm² = 4 x QN

QN = 72/4 = 18cm
