Find the distance of the point (3,-5) from x axis. Please I need explanation.

Distance formula=[(x↓2-x↓1)/2,(y↓2-y↓1)/ 2]=(X,Y)

={(0-3/2),[0-(-5)]/2}

Therefore, X=-3/2

Y=5/2
