We know that a fraction is not defined for denominator = 0, as 1/0= Not defined

Now let f(x) = 1/ x^2-16

Now, x^2-16≠0

x^2 ≠ 16

x ≠ -4 or 4.

Therefore D_(f) = R - { 4,4}

Hope helped!
