we have to find the electric dipole of the system.

we know, electric dipole is the system of two charges of same magnitude seperated in a small distance.

sides AB and BC of given triangle as shown in figure.

+q and -q of AB form a dipole along AB similarly +q and -q of BC form the other dipole along BC.

angle between dipoles is 90°

so net dipole = √{P² + P² + 2P²cos90°} = √2P

therefore, electric dipole of the system is √2P
